At ranch lease I'm on, they have planted beaucoup milo in a bunch of fields this year. I'm excited to see something other than miles of mars like dirt (last year) or cotton.

When will the pigs get interested in this? Depending on the field, it is 12" 24" tall right now with no heads on it yet.

Any tips on how/when best to take advantage of these fields?

Unless you have thermal there's no point in hunting the field.
Find where they're entering and get em there.

I have a FLIR camera.

I'm thinking harvest time may be prime time. I'm sure some of it ends up on the ground and it wont be so tall.

I know this will not answer your question but deer will tear up mill when the grain on the heads reach the stage where when crushed, the inside looks like milk. It is cool to see deer with what looks like milk dripping from their mouths.
