|
|
I just picked up a near-mint condition(couple of light safe dings on the forestock) 870 wingmaster 12ga 2 3/4 checkered wood.
High Gloss, and just about the best looking wingmaster I've had in my possession, the only one better was a 20ga with the matte finished wood that came from an estate.
I've been told to ask anywhere from 250(not happening) to 800 for it(too high, in my opinion)
What's the happy median to price it at?
Again, I don't have pics yet, but to give you an idea, I received the box of ammo he bought with the gun, 6 rounds missing from the box, and the factory grease is still on the slide _________________ Chicka Chicka Wow Wow! |

Also, forgot to mention, not a ventrib barrel, and fixed 'full' choke _________________ Chicka Chicka Wow Wow! |

That would be an older 870 wingmaster. I've seen them go for as little as 200 to around 400 dollars. A vent rib barrel and choke tubes would increase the value. For one like yours I think 275-325 would be reasonable. But hey, I'm a cheap skate, and get most of my guns for cheap at pawn shops. _________________ God bless,

Thing is, you can get a new 870 for just under $270.00.
Not as fancy looking as the older model though.
It comes down to finding somebody willing to shell out what you want for it. _________________ Ban guns to eliminate crime ?

Makes as much sense. |

It may have to reside in the safe for a while, unless I can find someone willing to swap a good .30-06 for it.
It's just too pretty for dove hunting _________________ Chicka Chicka Wow Wow! |

I've owned a Wingmaster for decades. It was my main hunting tool for many a year. The thing is with the quality finish on the wood and the deep, beautiful blueing, it's hard to get them to show any wear at all.
I've drug mine through briars, thick woods, ice and snow, pretty much anything you can think of and it always came home looking like a jewel.
Just saying. |
