I can't make up my mind between a Leupold VX-I 2-7x33 or a Redfield 2-7x33. The Redfield is $50 less, but I care more about a decent scope.

It's for my Marlin 336C.

What say you? Very Happy

Doesn't leupold make redfield? Maybe the same scope as far as the guts are concerned. I have a redfield, I like it, but I think mine is Japanese.

For low light you need a min of 40mm objective. In non-illum you simply can't beat a Bushnell Elite for durability and lens quality. In illum the Konus Pro Plus is a good economy scope and the new Leupold VX-R 3-9x50 is a really good product.

I have the Bushnell Elite 6500 on my P308, awesome scope, half the price of my Nightforce and equal in my opinion

also have the Leupold 4-12x50mm VX-R, nice scope

Colby, that is what I have on my 44 carbine. It is as bright as a 40mm, good in low light, very good glass and made in the Leupold factory. I am also a Redfield fan

Colby, tell us about your hunt! Question

I decided to give the Redfield a try. If it's equivalent to a VX-I, I'll be very happy. Very Happy
