Patrick Ryer took this beast in COLFAX TX with a 243 at a distance of around 100 yards.
DRT
This hog was weighed (attempted to weigh) with a set of 220/440 pound scales. Nearing the second revolution (440 pounds) the scales broke before the head of the hog was lifted completely off the ground. My best guess is the hog was around 420 to 440 pounds. _________________ KEVIN RYER

Y'all should see some of the hogs that run amuck my lease near Chester,Texas!!! They push the 500-600lb mark! I almost soiled myself while sitting I a 12' ladder stand as a couple walked past me! All I could do was look and stare, my other parts were frozen stiff, lol!!! _________________ If you never succeed it just means that you have not tried hard enough!!! |

THAT is a wonderful piggie!!!
I hate to admit it, but I have seen one in that class. Rattled me so badly that I pushed the nose of my rifle down as I pulled the trigger! Clean miss. <blush>.
The hunter who took this one obviously had NO such problem! |
