it just occured to me tonight that I never have written anything up on actual usage of the DDT
I have the red/green light setup and used them successfully on the hunt with Bill WIlson
wacked two hogs with them and was turning them on and off at hogs at about 60 yards away, they were oblivious
I lent them to Chris Sills, anxious to see what he has to say |

Hey coker...
Got my RPG6w on thursday and gave it a go on friday eve.
Got it directly wired to a 12v car battery with a solar panel plug-in on the swine-mobile.
I am totally satisfied with mine and the colors you see at night are unreal...
The eyes are chartruese and deep bright red, almost demonic looking if you will.
I scoped a power pole through my Leupold on 12 the SWINE HAVE RUBBED RAW twice and the electric co. has replaced both times,
This pole is 225-250 yds away from a setup of mine and I could read the numbers on it.
I feel that this light is highly under-rated and has the potential to reach out at least this far every time it hits the field.
Kevin has a true winner here...

I say THANKS, and Kevin has another customer. Wrote a little thread in the hog hunting section.
If I would have had my thinking cap on, I could have tripped the game camera and gotten IR photos of the dead hogs. Didn't occur to me until yesterday..... They weren't huge, but they were my first and I would have liked pics. |
