Yep, the coyotes wiped us out last year! We had BOOOOOKOOOOS of beautiful watermelons (6 rows about 100 yards long). They were wiped out in just 2 nights by coyotes. I couldn't believe it, wellover 200 watermelons destroyed
We have a terrible coyote problem in our area. _________________ KEVIN RYER

The first time I hunted hogs was in Jourdanton.
Land owner had planted watermelon and peanuts in two adjacent fields.
Guess what...early freeze and the hogs were all over it. _________________ I Hunt, Therefore, I Live |

Hogs, deer and coyotes all like watermelons and will wipe out a LOT overnight.
Time to make them pay up! _________________ Just my 2 cents worth with a nickel rebate.

| Sounds like some of yall could use a professional coyote trapper to rid them dudes & dudettes from your melon patches and lighten up on the fawn crop as well. |

A couple years back I had a friend that was losing watermelons to the yotes. I hadn't thought of that in quite a while. Blast em! _________________ NRA LIFE MEMBER

I've found watermelons that the coyotes drug from my garden back into the weeds. They'll chew one end off and hollow it out like you used a dipper. The tracks make it plain that it's coyotes getting the melons.
I'd sure like to catch one with his head up inside a melon! _________________ I live back in the woods you see,

Some slow motion video of the melon with the coyotes head inside slowly expanding from the pressure of a well placed round would be priceless.
Never thought about them tearing up a melon patch, sorry to hear about all the hard work down the tubes. |
