Sam it was nice to meet such a well manered young man. Your dad has done well .While you at the beach if you look real hard , you will find old sharks teeth. They are black in color and maybe as large as you little finger nail. Once you find one they will be easier to find. wear that sunscreen and have a blast.

Sam, if you're at the beach, go SURF FISHING!!! You don't even need any bait. Just bring some silver Johnson Sprite spoons, and maybe some Mirror Lure plugs, or some salt water jigs, and get after it. This time of year if the water to the beach is clear there may be Smacks out there so you might also need some steel leaders. Look for the birds, or a change in the beach structure, for a place to fish. I also look for piles of small shells as a starting point. Fish the second gut. Be careful for the currents.

And, if ya gotta just have some bait bring a cast net. You should be able to get some shad or mullet with a cast net.

Sam I know what you mean, Except when Im ready to go to the beach here in Alaska we are looking for bears on them as well Wink night before last my hunting buddy was on Bloody Beach, its a spot where Ive skinned 7 bears, anyhow sitting there he spotted a Black Bear across the ways on another beach and shot it. He called me from the SAT phone to tell me I needed to get back up there as there was another bear walking the shoreline down river from him........Man I cant wait to get to the Beach myself.

Hey Sam......sorry for sort of hijacking your thread about you going to the beach. LOL! I was just comparing your beach to my kinda beach hahaha! And George them House boat hunts aint cheap.Living here I can tell you it would be easier to focus on one hunt versus, Halibut, Bear and Deer. When it comes to the deer your waiting for the winter to push them down, and by then most of your bears are dened up or every now and then sneak out for a list minute whatever.

Not to mention your huitng hard for deer during the shorter daylight hours we have at that time to effectively hunt and fish. And then your talking about shipping all that meat home $$$$$$ or your truly will come down and I'll take it as a donation Wink

Daniel,

My dreams aren't ever very practical for the most part. I actually tried to talk my wife into me taking a job in Alaska so I could hunt as a resident for a couple years. Couldn't get her to go for that. Going to Texas has been great, so I'm not too disappointed. But, should I pull off a trip up there you're certainly welcome to the meat.

George
