I went bay fishing for my first time last summer. We were mainly going for speck trout (we caught 28 between 3 people) and I caught a 48 inch 25 pound red on light tackle. It took 15 minutes to reel in but was extremly exiting!!!

One of the guys here at work caught 2 nice reds from the feeder road . We see them all the time in the marshes just past Bayou Vista . He stop this morning cause you could cast to them from the black top. It's fish for me today for lunch.

Fishing from the shoulder and lunch today.
I miss all that good angling.
Lived in CC for a long time and the fishing was awesome EVERYWHERE I went.

Yep, know that spot(s) well and come Sept., they'll in there even heavier!
That one big bayou running from Jones Lake under Hwy 45, was one of the best crabbing spots both at the bridge and by boat back in the 60's-early 80's before the mass crab-trappers hit the area. Really good for flounder and reds also! |

Yes it still is Chris. I still have my house in B.V. . Ilived there for 16 years and hit that spot on windy days. The guy that caught them this morning hooked and lost a tagged fish in the grass three years ago. I thought he was going to shoot himself. It was during the star tourny. He saw the tag sticking out of the water , managed to get it to hit a spoon and lost it.

"Everything bigger & better in Texas" Now it gets touchy, I`ve seen a 100 lb. hog grow to 150 lb. by the time it hit the forums 
I`ve seen a 1-2-shoot turn into 1-2-3-shoot by the time it hit the forums Seen a black hog turn red- You get the picture

They were giving out free samples of dreyers. At H-E-B and I tried a sample (just so I could criticize it) and as yall will see o the Blue Bell tour. They make all of the baked things fresh dreyers obviously doesn't the brownies were awefull.

Well it was just all that good cookin' you and Walter did We didn't get to keep the red cause it he was oversized and we didn't have a tag for him, but we probably would have thrown him back anyways. Only 4 more days till the beach I can't wait
