A friend from work and myself hit the crop fields tonight ended up with three boars all DRT 160lbs 180lbs and 250lbs. They had started plowing the fields. A combination of black hogs, black dirt, and no moon made for hard spotting. The thermal eye really made the hunt tonight! I bought a pan and tilt remote control head for security cameras and mounted it and the thermal to the roof. With the remote unit and the 7" video screen we could easily spot the hogs in the black dirt! My friend used my 6.8 to take his first kill ever a 150lb lone boar. The boar turned right as he fired the shot missed but he followed up and hit the boar dead center with a 120sst from about 60 yards. He only made it about ten feet before he collapsed dead.
My very happy friend

Great hunt. It's fun taking someone out and watching them get their first kill. _________________ 2012- 11 pigs Down.
