My wife is allowing me to go hunting this weekend. Have only been once all year. Guess I will just fill my pipes, spread some corn and jello mix around, turn on my TB lights and see what happens. Lots of hogs around, just have to have them come by.

Any other suggestions?

Stay down wind, other than that you've got a great plan already. Good luck and take pictures.

Ok, got out to my friends ranch yesterday to help him build some pens around his new barn. His whole family, (parents, inlaws, lots of kids were there since Saturday running around so I did not have much hope for a quality hunt. While we were working he told me that on Saturday evening while he was sitting on his tailgate, several pigs came out to munch on some fruit falling from a thick area of trees. (figs I think). He said it was about 6:30.

After working all day I spread out some corn and jello mix next to the area they pigs were seen, placed my TB light in a tree and hunkered down in the new barn behind a couple hay bales with 2 bags of corn on top for a good rifle rest. It was about 5:30.

Everyone else left around 6 and I had the place to myself. Lo and behold about 6:30 here comes some pigs. Shot one at about 125 yards. DRT.

Waited about 15 minutes, nothing else came out so I dragged that one off, spread out a little more corn and went back to the barn.

About 10 pm out came another pig, this time about 85 yards. The light worked great as usual. I had it about 40 yards in front of me and it lit up the area like crazy. the pigs were both on the small side, but still a great day.

I see mostly small pigs on this property which I guess is a good sign that there will be lots to hunt.

Way to go Paul, those aren't trophy pigs, but you certainly can mount them on a charcoal grill. Laughing

Fire up the grill and you'll be all set.
