No school for the boys and I tomorrow so we decided that after Swamp People was over we would go spotlight for some piggies. We came across 2 herds of 6 or 7 and I had made it clear to Kreed and Kasen that I wanted small pigs to cook in the smoker. The first group we came across was all Kasen's. He settled the crosshairs on a small one and shot just over it's head with a 223. He was pretty ticked to say the least, but we kept on hunting. The next group popped out of some brush about 30 yards away from the truck. My 11 year old Kreed, pulled out my 25-06 and hammered one right in the medulla! Anyway, we ended up with a 40 pounder after only a 30 minute "quick" hunt. Should be some good eating. Sorry for the poor pic quality........there wasn't much left of his head anyway. :D
