Just an FYI, in case you are curious: In FL you do not need a permit to hunt hogs at night with Night vision but if you use a light you have to have a permit(free). So I applied online, have the St Joe Paper Co permission letter and the FWC(Fl Wildlife Commission)y issues it online in seconds. So now we are legal and I don't have to invest in an expensive NV scope.
I bought the (name withheld intentionally), before joining this forum
Gun Mounted Lights
Kill Light Extra Long Range Tactical Rifle Light. If you are looking for a heavy duty affordable long distance tactical light system for your rifle. This High powered Green LED light has an effective GUARANTEED range of up to 250 yards. Take out those hogs, predators, raccoons and varmints by turning your hunting rifle into a night time killing machine! This light comes with 2 batteries, charger and scope mount also a pressure switch

Nice thing is I am on a private lease, you can have up to 5 helpers w guns and so I gave everyone a copy that are in the parcels I applied for. We do not practice eradication, all hogs are used for food by us or are given away. We are on a permanent creek, 2000 acres of pine timber and several swamp areas. I am guessing now but probably 200 or so resident hogs, right now we know there are 5 litters of new piglets running around. Lease has 15 members and maybe 5 hog hunters. Season is all year with no limits.

Well the green Kree light seems to do real well, since we did not have the permit all we were doing was lighting them up. Sometimes they get nervous, other times they disregard it. I also have a motion detector led solar light I had been using on a barrel and they got used to that subtle white light too. I think it is more what they get used to and not putting the center of the light on them more than the color...at least that is what the experiment has showed us so far.
