We got our first black bear here in WNY. This thing had a inches of fat on the hide and inches more on the body. Makes sense as they have to go thru winter hibernating. What I was wondering is, if bears down south hibernate or have these layers of fat to make it thru the winter. Thanks in advance. _________________ Get off my lawn. |

I've seen black bear year round in Eastern North Carolina. I had read that they don't hibernate in all regions as well. _________________ GAC |
