I bought the "Spicy Breakfast Sausage Seasoning" from Frisco a month ago. Last weekend while bow hunting I saw no deer but two small pigs wandered in about dark in front of the sounder. I stuck one sow . She was only 65 lbs on the hoof but I got 13 lbs of good lean meat from it. I made up a batch of breakfast sausage uning the Frisco spice and it came out very good. I would recomend this one . I'll post about some of their other spice mixes when I get more pigs .

Well, I mad a large batch of summer sausage from a packet of spice from Frisco and it is some of the worst I have ever tasted. Looks like I wasted a deer on an unknown. Learn from my mistakes , it's cheaper.

Oh dangit man, sorry to hear that. what is the problem? too much of something? not enough of something else? or flat out some spice that doesnt belong?
if it too much of 1 thing mabey you could thin it out with more meat?
if its not enough, add to taste & run thru the mixer again?

Well that's certainly a bad deal. I've used Frisco's summer sausage seasoning (with cure) for every batch I've ever made and it was always good. Haven't made any in the last 4 or 5 years or so. Hope they didn't change that recipe. I am sorry to hear it was bad.

I used the 25 lb seasoning package with the cure. It has a very weak flavor like there is not enough seasoning mix for the amount of meat. That and the flavor it has is not of summer sausage. My #2 daughter said she liked it so she is getting it all.
