Can be operated from a cigerette lighter or any 12 volt DC battery no matter if its 1 Amp Hour or 1,000 Amp Hours and can run 1 minute or 1,000 hours nonstop without metling the housing! WHY DOES THIS LIGHT OUTPERORM similar lights that ADVERTISE HIGHER WATTS and MORE LUMENS? There is a difference in what is CLAIMED by manufactururers and what is DELIVERED to the customer in the finished product! A BIG DIFERENCE! Manufacturers can CLAIM higher wattages and higher lumens because they include the following verbage "ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURUER" -- the differnce is TEXASBOARS DELIVERS the claimed maximum drive currents! That can only be done with a microprocessor! YOU CAN NOT DO THAT WITH DINKY LITTLE BATTERIES that the other lights use! If the LEDs were actually driven at the rated drive current those dinky AA or AAA batteries would be drained in about 60 seconds. SO YEAH, they provide you with an LED "rated by the manufacturuer at 2 or 3 watts" but they don't deliver that in the product! That way it doesn't over-heat or run down those dinky batteries! Then on top of that they do not use HIGH EFFICIENCY SOLID FOCUSSING LENSES, they instead use cheap plastic reflector bases and cap it with a flat lense intended for INCANDESCENT BULBS! That WILL NOT WORK with LEDs! They may claim XXX Lumens but the system watses 60% of the light produced unlike solid focussing lenses that are 90% effcient. In other words they put 90% of the light DOWNRANGE as opposed to spilling more than half of it out the sides.
WILL NOT SPOOK ANIMALS This color combination has been tested, tested, and tested more. It does not spook game if *used properly*. Proper use of these lights including what animals see and how they see it has been discussed extensively on my forums www.texasboars.com/phpBB2/ - it is a tool and with any tool, knowing how to use it makes a big difference.
